Chicago, Mar 24, () - The dinosaur theme-park Jurassic World The Exhibition promises an exciting experience derived from the blockbuster film franchise and is coming to the Field Museum this spring. The exhibition has been a major draw at its first two stops, Melbourne, Australia, and at its current home, the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. The Field is expecting similar success during its nearly eight-month run, from May 26 into January. 'It's going to be a big deal, said Richard Lariviere, president of the museum that is home to Sue, the world?s most intact T-Rex skeleton. ?There?s a lot about those movies that isn?t scientifically accurate, but they also have turned a lot of young people on to paleontology and the study of prehistory.? 'We have a saying Dinosaurs and mummies are a great way to get people into the museum, says Bill Simpson, the Field?s head of geological collections. ?We?re hoping 'Jurassic World'! is going to bring them in, and then they can see some real dinosaurs within the Field Museum proper.? Throughout the summer, Jurassic World will also be open beyond museum hours, from 5 to 9 p.m. daily, with exhibition-only tickets during those hours costing $20 and $25, officials said.
