Öykü Altuntaş / Istanbul, Feb 26 () – A documentary dedicated to 301 miners who have lost their lives in a deadly mine accident in May 2014 will be screened within the 15th !f Istanbul Independent Film Festival on Feb. 27.
The screening of “Last Breath” directed by Ömer Akbaş and produced by F. Serkan Acar is expected to host families and relatives of miners who were killed after the disaster.
Lawyers proceeding the Soma case, as well as the managers of Social Rights Association have given support to the documentary, recalling the worst mine disaster of Turkey’s modern history with interviews conducted shortly after the accident.
The premier screening will take place on Feb. 27 at 16.00 p.m. in Istanbul’s Beyoğlu Fitaş movie theatre, within the !f film festival.
