Nilüfer Demir / Muğla, Dec 10 () – Prosecutors have demanded 35-year jail terms for two suspected human smugglers of Syrian origin, accused of the boat tragedy that have killed three-year-old toddler Aylan Kurdi, whose image washing ashore the coast has symbolized the deadly refugee crisis, along with at least 11 others in deadly boat tragedies in September.

The suspects stood accused of "causing death by deliberate negligence" and "migrant smuggling". While the identities of suspects have not been uncovered, some six others of Turkish origin are searched within the investigations.

A boat has sunk and have left Aylan, his brother Galip Kurdi and mother Rihan Kurdi killed, along with others, and the incident has sparked an outrage across the world, putting the refugee crisis in center of the international agenda.

Aylan’s father, who had survived, has went back the Kobane town of Syrian, to bury his family.

Turkey, home to up to 2.5 million Syrian migrants who have fled the violence in their home country, has boosted efforts to limit the flow, in line with new talks with the European Union.
