Eyüp Kelebek / Eskişehir, Oct 20 () - In Turkey’s Central Anatolian province of Eskişehir, Democratic Women Platform members made a press statement declaring, “As women, we refuse to be silent. Peace will come to this territory.”

Having gathered at the Porsuk Boulevard, women protested the “war policies” and urged solidarity among the public, chanting, “Women will pay murderers to account” and unfurling a banner reading “Women demand peace”.

"We will not let them cover up the massacres"

The protesters made a press statement and left cloves and candles on the banner.

“We all know that people who still have conscience and dignity in Turkey feel pain of others. We will survive in these severe days, with support of the solidarity of our people. We will not let these massacres to be covered up. As women of this country, we will call those who have planned and instigated these massacres to account” said the statement of the group, made by Derya Gezer from the Platform.
