Bülent Diktepe / Karabük, Nov 1 () - 18-year-old Rumeysa Gelgi that has been presented the record title of Tallest Teenager (female) in the World in Guinness World Records last year, voted for the first time in her life, on Nov. 1 snap elections.
Gelgi, residing in Northern Anatolian town of Safranbolu in Karabük province, has a standing height of 213.6 cm, has reached the age of 18 this year.
As she cannot stand or walk without a walker’s support, Gelgi was not able to go upstairs to the ballot-box on the second floor.
She has not been able to cast her vote on June 7 elections, due to lack of facilities for disabled people in the school. Gelgi has been told she should have informed the district election board.
This time, she was able to cast her vote for the first time, with the help of her family.
