Ümit Kozan / Medina, Dec 31 () - The editor-in-chief of Yeni Akit newspaper, extreme Islamist Yeni Akit newspaper died during covering Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s official Saudi Arabia visit.
According to Presidency Press Chief Consulate’s statement, Karakaya has felt unwell in his hotel in Medina, last spot of Erdoğan’s visit and was intervened by Presidency’s health teams. Karaya was taken to the King Fahd General Hospital in Medina and has died despite medical intervention.
Erdoğan has cancelled his trip and decided to travel back to Turkey.
