Sinan Harmancı / Amasya, Dec 31 () - A teaching assistant was denounced to police accused of “terror propaganda” as she referred to “violation of social and human rights" during her own lecture.
It was revealed that her student called police emergency line during the lecture, accusing the teacher for the statements.
Atalay, assistant at Amasya University Technology Faculty was said to be a member of Education and Science Workers' Union (Egitim-Sen) as well as Social Rights Association.
The teaching assistant, Çise Atalay, was detained by the police, who has stormed into the Technology Faculty upon the tip-off, while the class was dispersing after the lecture.
Amasya anti-terror branches searched Atalay’s office and her apartment. Meanwhile, police teams took copies of documents and computer files. Investigation conducted by police continues.
