Passangers told Doğan News Agency reporter that they have been treated like “fugitives”.

Having landed from Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Sheremetyevo International Airport on early Nov. 26, a businessman among the passengers of Aeroflot Airlines’ flight, Cemil Özdemir, stressed that they have waited for five hours after Turkish citizens’ passports have been seized and no one has given any information, regarding the incident.

According to Özdemir, five hours later a Russian police arrived to say they were going to send the Turkish passengers back to their country and remanded them in the isolation room despite Schengen visa.

“Police allows us to go to the toilet and escorts us, one by one” Özdemir said. “Among us, a passenger’s wife is going to give birth soon and he is not allowed to enter the country.”
