Ahmet Akkuş / Mardin, Sep 1 () - In Nusaybin district of southeastern province of Mardin, the district mayor Sara Kaya affiliated to Democratic Regions’ Party (DBP) has been arrested within the investigation of “authonomy”.
Sara Kaya has been detained and released by the court’s judicial control decision last Friday- accused for her “authonomy” statement- however was detained once more on late Aug. 31. The criminal court of peace on duty decided to arrest Kaya on Sep. 1.
After the decision, District Head of DBP in Nusaybin, Zeynep Algan, has also been detained by the police and arrested in the court house.
