Istanbul, May 24 () - Turkey's prominent theatre player Genco Erkal received a standing ovation in New York, at his new play "Bertolt Brecht - Nazım Hikmet - Cabaret" based on poems of Turkish Poet Nazım Hikmet and German Poet Bertolt Brecht.

Genco Erkal received a full support from the audience with his live performance, accompanied with Gülay Günal, Pianist Yiğit Özatalay in the play criticising social and economic injustice and exploitation of religion and culture, in Drome Music Club in New York. Compositions from Fazıl Say, Zülfü Lİvaneli, Timur Selçuk, Cem Karaca, Tarık Öcal, Kurt Weiily and Hans Eissler were used at Genco Erkal's Cabaret.

"I am very happy and it seems that the audience is also very happy" Genco Erkal told , adding that we was planning a new special cabaret for the next US tour.
