Yüksel Koç / Istanbul, Nov 4 () - The Bakırköy 2nd Chamber imposed a ban on leaving the country against 54 judges and prosecutors, who have been under investigation by the Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) in June, with accusations of “founding and affiliating armed terror organization”, “political and military spying and “attempting to annihilate the Turkish Republic government”.
Among the 54 judges and prosecutors, 49 of them have been dismissed, accused of being responsible for irregular wiretapping decisions in the “Selam Tevhid Terrorist Organization” case.
The officers under ban for leaving the country include Ergenekon case judges Sedat Sami Haşıloğlu and Fatih Mehmet Uslu, Poyrazköy case judges Mehmet Karababa and Mehmet ErdoğanMatch-fixing case prosecutor Mehmet Berk and judges of the case, Mehmet Ekinci, Hikmet Şen and Seyfettin Mermerci, along with judge of Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) trial and Selam Tevhid trial, Adnan Çimen.
Accordingly, prosecutor of the crucial 25 December bribery investigation Muammer Akkaş, who has called National Intelligence Organization (MİT) Undersecretary Hakan Fidan, Sadrettin Sarıkaya, prosecutor in Hrant Dink case Hikmet Usta and chief judge of the case Rüstem Eryılmaz, along with some judges of “Balyoz” (Sledgehammer) coup plot case.
The officers were accused of “concocting” an investigation into an alleged terrorist group named “Selam Tevhid” as a pretense to tap the phones of Erdoğan, ministers, and National Intelligence Organization (MİT) Chief Hakan Fidan.
