Ankara, Jan 12 () - Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmuş confirmed the deadly Sultanahmet blast on Jan. 12 was caused by a suicide attack and the bomber was identified as a Syrian born in 1988.

The blast killed at least 10 and wounded 15 including two in critical condition, while a significant part of the people killed after the attack was foreigners, said Kurtulmuş after the security meeting in Çankaya Mansion, during a press conference with Interior Minister Efkan Ala and Health Minister Mehmet Müezzinoğlu.

Systematic attacks have continued in Turkey since June 5 last year he added, urging for more international support and more coordination in the struggle against terrorism.
