Ömer Gören / Istanbul, Aug 7 () – In Kadıköy district of Istanbul city, the new design on the highly busy Caddebostan Street’s Bağdat blind alley was selected at ballot box by the district’s people.

Kadıköy Municipality and Design Workshop of Kadıköy (TAK) asked people their opinion and suggestions, and five projects were pitched on August 2 at a street meeting to Kadıköy’s people. The shared their thoughts and advices on a website and then voted their favoured design, buy noting them on “opinion cards”.

Project number 3, forming an intriguing and pleasing corridor, with its dynamic wooden carcasses was selected after the democratic election. Within the project, an indoor area will be installed where banners, postcards and leaflets can be hanged on. The indoor area will be constructed to host exhibitions and performances on the street, while a sitting set will be installed both in the shadow.
