Izmit, Aug 5 () - Turkey İş Bank Chess Super League that will host 14 different chess clubs has commenced in The Ness Hotel of Başiskele District in Turkey’s Izmit province.
The super league will also be honoured to host an international chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov.
After the opening of the league, President of Turkey Chess Federation Gülkız Tunay made a statement and said “The Turkey İş Bank Chess League is recognized as the ultimate league in the country. This year, on 8 chess tables, 14 teams participate to the championship, including Turkish Airlines and Beşiktaş crews.
The league will continue to attract chess enthusiasts until August 15 this year.
