Oktay Ensari / Kayseri, Sep 15 () – In Central Anatolian province of Kayseri, on the Mount Erciyes to where tourists flock for winter sports every year recently “went bald”, as the heat has melted down the snow and icecap, in September.

The mean temprarature has been recorded 17.3, and the highest temparature has been recorded 26.6 Celsius in earlier years. This September, the temparature was more than 30 Celsius in Kayseri and around the city.

The tourism center with 3,916 altitudes had faced a similar heat and meltdown in August 1957, according to the meteorological reports.

Against summer of 2014, the heat was 3-5 Celsius higher on the summit of Mount Erciyes where according to locals “the snow never leaves”.

The snow layer has reduced to the northern area near the deep valleys, where millions-year-old icecap.
