Ali Ruhluer / Nicossia, July 20 () - Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Mustafa Akıncı condemned the "terrorist attack" in Şanlıurfa, border province of Turkey on Syrian border, killing at least 30 people on Monday.

President Erdogan said, “A terror act in Şanlıurfa Suruç having occured at around 13.00 am, killing our 28 citizens and injuring a serious number of people, has caused us a deep sorrow. I curse and condemn, on my behalf ,this ferocity” during his visit to Nİcossia, as part of the July 20 ceremonies marking the anniversary of the Peace and Freedom Day, referring to the foundation of the TRNC.

Turkish Cypriot President Mustafa Akıncı also condemned the suicide bombing declaring, “I would like to continue my speech by condemning this moving incident stemming from a suicide bombing and killing 28 people, for the nonce, and by condoling Mr President. Terror leaves profound wounds and pain behind, and it should be condemned regardless of where it originates from. I consider this behaviour as a human duty, and I share your feelings.”
