İstanbul, June 22 () - Turkey's export goods prices rose in the fourth consecutive month in May, after dipping to the lowest level in January, according to the Non-Domestic Producer Price Index data released by Turkstat, on Monday.

Non-domestic producer price index (ND-PPI), which measures the change in the price of goods manufactured in the country and exported in a reference period, rose by 1.52 percent on monthly basis in May.

Export prices increased by 7.64 percent in the first five months of the year and increased by 9.46 percent on annual basis, as at the end of May.

ND-PPI monthly fell by 0.31 percent in the index for mining and stone quarrying and rose by 1.57 percent in the index for manufacturing.

The highest monthly increase was in coke and refined petroleum products by 4.19 percent, followed by wood and products of wood and cork, except furniture with 3.12 percent and for motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers with 2.69 percent.

On the other hand the highest rates of monthly decrease in ND-PPI by sub divisions of industry were index for computer, electronic and optical products by 6.17 percent, metal ores by 1.84 percent and other non-metallic mineral products by 0.22 percent.

According to main industrial groupings classification in May 2015, the highest rates of monthly increase were in energy goods and the highest rates of annual increase were in intermediate goods.
