Istanbul, July 16 () – The BDDK (Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency) approved the acquisition of an additional 14.89 percent stake in Turkey’s Garanti Bank by the BBVA (Banca Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria).
In a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform, “We were acquainted by the BDDK with a statement that the acquisition had been approved” said the Garanti Bank.
According to the statement, the procedures for the regulatory approvals in and out are still pending.
